Family History Researcher
Over the past three years, I have helped locate biological family members for adopted individuals. This has been the most rewarding & life changing part of my career.
My process will include obtaining information from the adoptee to begin preliminary research. The individual will need to take a DNA test through Ancestry.com. Once Ancestry DNA results are delivered (approximately 6 weeks), I will utilize your specific DNA matches to aid in the search for close biological family members.
Successful results are determined by whether biological family members have had their DNA tested. A connection can be made depending on both families circumstances and willingness for this interaction.
In order for me to help find your biological family, a DNA test is required. I prefer to use Ancestry.com simply because the number of people who have had their DNA tested through that company dramatically increases the chance of locating your biological family members. Full consideration of your privacy is taken by me, and there is a plan to ensure that it remains that way.
Currently, I have a successful connection rate of 95% with biological family members. However, patience is necessary by the client for this project.
Email me so we can discuss your situation and find your LIVES LONG LOST!
As an adopted individual, I was shocked at the ease of the process. She discovered the identities of my biological parents shortly after I received the results of my DNA test. She obtained photos for me and facilitated a phone conversation with my biological mother. A photograph was texted to her of my biological mother and myself hugging since our last meeting 44 years earlier. Don’t hesitate to contact her, she is sincere, thoughtful and considerate of everyone’s emotions. This is an experience that I will never forget and hard to actually put into words.

Below is a some information about Ancestry.com and AncestryDNA.
AncestryDNA is a cutting-edge DNA testing service that can revolutionize the way you discover your family history. They combine advanced DNA science with the world’s largest online family history resource to help you find your family.
No subscription is necessary in order to take the DNA test and receive results. Your results will include an ethnicity estimate and a list of DNA matches (other people who have taken the AncestryDNA test and who are likely to be related to you). You’ll receive a potential breakdown of your ethnicity by percentage as well as a list of DNA matches.
My job actually begins once your matches are known. All your close matches are used in order to create family trees and establish who is your closest biological family member. How fast this process takes is determined by your DNA matches, it can be quick or it might take some time.
How do I get the test? What is the procedure to take a DNA test?
A small kit will be sent in the mail containing a saliva tube and a pre-paid return mailing box. Open the box and read the directions. Open and fill the tube with saliva. When completed, send back to Ancestry.com. Connect your test to an Ancestry Account (we will discuss this).
Within six to eight weeks after receipt of sample, an email will be sent letting you know that your results are available.
Once you receive the kit, you should email me so we can go through the process. It is quite simple but would like to make sure that you fill in all of the information correctly. As is the case with all the work I do, confidentiality is number one!
